KSPS Public TV, the PBS station here in Spokane, is hosting a Great American Read finale watch party called “Game of Tomes,” and they’ve invited me to be a special guest!
at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 23rd, on the third floor of the downtown branch of the Spokane Public Library.
The party celebrates America’s 100 best-loved books from PBS’s series, The Great American Read. Viewers have been voting for their favorites of the 100 books since May, and the results will be revealed in the final episode.
Anyone can watch the finale at home on Channel 7, but you’re invited to dress as your favorite literary character or author and celebrate great books on a special evening that will include drinks, snacks, raffles, drawings, and a costume contest.
The party is at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 23rd, on the third floor of the downtown branch of the Spokane Public Library.
I’ll be there, dressed as Daenerys Targaryen from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, so come say “hi” and let’s get a photo together.
The event is free, but tickets are required, so RSVP here. I hope you can come!
